Midwife Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care and support to women during pregnancy.
- Conduct assessments, screenings, and educate expectant mothers about prenatal health.
- Assist women through labor and childbirth, ensuring a safe and positive birthing experience.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, identifying and managing complications promptly.
- Act swiftly in emergencies, using advanced skills to manage critical situations.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines in maternal and newborn care
Midwife Requirements
- Registered Midwife with NMC registration.
- At least five years of clinical post-registration nursing/midwifery experience comprising at least three years in midwifery
- Strong communication, empathy, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including on-call and shift patterns.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, woman-centered care.
