Mechanical Design Engineer

We are presently recruiting for a Mechanical Design / CAD Engineer for our clients on the Kerry / Cork Border.  The company in question is an Engineering company and requires someone with 1 to 3 years experience in a similar position who can coordinate & provide technical assistance in all aspects of product design whilst maintaining standards are met to clients requirements. This is a full-time permanent position.

Responsible for:          

  • Preparation of detailed production drawings
  • Provide CAD Designs and detailed drawings for clients
  • Presenting designs to managers and clients
  • Provide technical solutions for mechanical & Electrical issues
  • Undertaking relevant research when required
  • Maintaining drawing database
  • Coordinate purchasing & shipping
  • Resolve technical issues and improvements to the assembly process
  • Undertaking relevant research
  • Producing and implementing designs and test procedures                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in Machine building equipment support
  • Minimum 1 years’ post-graduation experience.
  • Strong CAD Design Skills
  • Experience in Machine building equipment support
