We are presently recruiting for a Graduate / Newly qualified Quantity Surveyor for our clients, an Engineering company in County Kerry. The company in question work on Mechanical and Structural projects and require someone to work within a wider team and Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for engineering projects which are based all over Ireland. This position offers a valuable opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to engineering projects and gain hands-on experience in quantity surveying within a dynamic and supportive team environment.
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for engineering projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather and analyze relevant data for cost planning and control.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify variations, and ensure compliance with contractual terms.
- Assist in the negotiation and procurement of subcontractor and supplier agreements.
- Analyze and evaluate tender submissions, providing recommendations for awarding contracts.
- Support in the preparation of financial reports, forecasting, and tracking project costs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project-related financial documentation.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any contractual and commercial issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and market conditions affecting costs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of cost control procedures and strategies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in relevant software tools such as Excel, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and relevant regulations.
- Relevant internship or work experience is a plus.
