We are presently recruiting for a Shipping Team lead, for our clients a Manufacturing company in County Kerry. You will be tasked with managing all export activities and ensuring that all customs and shipping paperwork is fully compliant. You will work with a team of three and will be responsible for overseeing all shipping operations. This is a full-time position based in Killarney, County Kerry.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and handling shipment operations & compliance functions for global export.
- Meeting compliance requirements at all times.
- Point of contact for export shipping.
- Supervision of the onsite shipping team.
- Plan and coordinate shipments in line with production and on time delivery requirements.
- Process customer invoicing in line with physical shipment and quantities.
- Prepare international logistics documentation requirements relevant to customer orders.
- Liaise with freight forwarders to organise shipments.
- Processing customs documentation.
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is completed.
- Act as the point of escalation for export shipping issues, maintaining the freight database.
- Prepare timely information and reports.
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of export regulatory requirements, shipping and customs documentation.
- Strong planning and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and any ERP system.
- Relevant experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands on experience of exporting internationally, understanding of customs regulations and export controls.
- International trade qualification, Import / export qualification or training is desirable.
- Supervision of a team is advantageous.
