Our client is a well-established manufacturing company based in County Louth are presently recruiting a Draughtsperson with strong SolidWorks skills to their Design team. You will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings for high-quality engineered products to customers across a range of industries and will support manufacturing, production, and project delivery departments within the business. This is a permanent, full-time position
Key Responsibilities
- Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks
- Prepare manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs (Bills of Materials)
- Support the design and development of new and existing products
- Work closely with engineers, production teams, and project managers to ensure designs are practical and manufacturable
- Revise and update drawings in line with design changes and client requirements
- Ensure all drawings and documentation are completed accurately and in line with company standards
- Assist with prototype development and product improvement initiatives
- Maintain drawing records and engineering documentation
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience as a Draughtsperson, CAD Technician, or similar design role within a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, is essential
- Experience with sheet metal, fabrication, or mechanical assemblies, producing detailed fabrication/manufacturing drawings
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering drawings
- Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Engineering Technology, or related discipline is essential.
