Data & Product Analyst

A Data & Product Analyst will work closely with the Product Manager to make sure that our client’s products and solutions are continually developed and enhanced in accordance with customer and business needs. In order to build new and better features and functionality for the client’s software, you will closely cooperate with our client’s software development team and key stakeholders both internally and outside.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Develop an understanding of company products to meet the company’s current and future needs
  • Liaise with internal teams to identify current and future system requirements while ensuring a very high level of quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Work closely with the Head of Product Management to deliver our software development roadmap through outsourced team of software developers
  • Have a strong ability to gather, analyse and document business requirements and convert these to technical specifications for the development team
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans, test cases and logs for planned development items
  • Execute test cases (manual or automated) by conducting thorough regression testing
  • Generate clear and detailed feedback on testing or system bugs for the technical team
  • Project manage implementation of new features and bug fixes
  • Creation of release notes for internal and external teams
  • Creation of training materials and deliver training to internal teams to demonstrate development updates
  • Provide post implementation support addressing any customer issues, queries and defects through to resolution
  • Work directly with the clients, Sales and Project Implementation teams to gather, analyse and document business requirements and data specifications for the development of reporting
  • Analyse and transform multiple data sets, including complex data, to create integrated data models, dashboards and reports
  • Creating, editing and maintaining of visual content including paginated tables, charts and graphs will be an integral part of this role.
  • Provide visual, technical and editorial guidance to internal and external parties.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Business,
  • Engineering or other related area (desirable but not required)
  • Experience using Data Visualisation/BI tools (such as PowerBI, Tableau) an advantage
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process and  familiarity of industry standard agile delivery tools i.e. JIRA
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst/System Analyst/QA engineer/Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
  • Some expertise in project management is a plus
  • Familiarity with automation scripts using open-source tools is an advantage
  • Demonstrated competency with project management tools and platforms
