We are presently recruiting a CAD designer four clients on the Cork / Kerry Border. Working on a range of different projects and working to client specifications, you will be tasked with delivering AutoCAD for 2D and 3D drawings. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience and will have the ability to initiate and drive projects forward. This is a full-time position, based in office on the Cork/Kerry boarder.
Job responsibilities:
- Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to translate conceptual designs into technical drawings.
- Generate drawings, layouts, and schematics for architectural, mechanical, or electrical projects.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and design guidelines.
- Review and revise CAD designs based on feedback and changes during the design process.
- Maintain organized files and documentation of CAD drawings, versions, and revisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design-related challenges and modifications.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD software tools and industry trends to enhance design efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of design standards and best practices within the organization.
- Excellent attention to detail, spatial visualization, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.) and a strong understanding of technical drawing principles required.
- Relevant technical degree or certification in CAD design or related field preferred.
Education:
- CAD Software Proficiency: Strong expertise in using CAD software is essential. Familiarity with software like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, Revit, or similar tools is commonly required, depending on the industry and specialization.
- A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering is highly desired but not essential.
