Our client is a long-established and highly respected accountancy practice based in Killarney, County Kerry. Providing a comprehensive range of audit, accounting, taxation and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, they are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Audit Accountant to join their experienced team. This is a permanent, position with an option for hybrid working
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Planning, coordinating and completing audit assignments for a broad range of clients.
- Preparing audit files and ensuring compliance with relevant auditing and accounting standards.
- Reviewing financial statements and supporting documentation.
- Identifying audit risks and recommending practical solutions.
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and address queries.
- Assisting with the preparation of management accounts and statutory financial statements.
- Supporting senior management with client engagements and business advisory projects.
- Ensuring assignments are completed within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of accounting, auditing and regulatory developments.
- Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
Person Specification / Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA or CPA qualified, or nearing qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
