Associate Hotel Director – Cruise Lines

We are currently recruiting for an Associate Hotel Director (AHD) to be a key leader on the management team of a luxury cruise line. Working in partnership with the Hotel Director (HD) to oversee the day-to-day operations of all hotel-related areas of the ship. The Associate Hotel Director assists the Hotel Director in the strategic planning, financial forecasting, crew satisfaction deliverables and overall guest satisfaction focus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Recognize the importance of driving results and understand how to identify opportunities by guest value
  • Achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction under all circumstances
  • Ensure that all Company assets are regularly maintained and in optimal condition
  • Ensures all inventory levels are appropriate as per established targets and operational requirements
  • Ensures Safety, Environmental, SQM, OCIMS and other Company policies and standards are consistently maintained
  • Displays a business ownership mentality when developing tactical plans
  • Develop and implement new ideas for revenue and to improve operational efficiencies
  • Accept ownership for achieving results in all areas of accountability including, SGI, ratings, revenue, and expenses, USPH, Workplace Safety and Crew Satisfaction
  • Work as an active ambassador of the brand’s Modern Luxury concept and Company’s standards

REQUIRMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a senior leader with a premium hotel or cruise brand
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving and decision making skills
  • A strategic and tactical thinker with a strong business-driven approach
  • Proven track record in driving high performance and achieving sustainable results
  • Ability to lead in a culturally diverse and dynamic environment
  • Ability to switch gears as the business needs dictate
  • Ability to spearhead teams in a positive and productive manner by inspiring and developing individuals and effectively managing processes
  • Knowledge of the principles and processes involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, workforce planning and management, leadership techniques and production methods
    Ability to speak, read and write English at a high level. Any other language such as Spanish, French or German, is advantageous
  • Physically capable (All shipboard employees must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Therefore, the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is necessary)
