We are presently looking for an Assistant Store Manager for one of our clients based in Killarney, Co. Kerry. Your main responsibilities will be to support the Store Manager in the daily operations of the retail store, ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers and an efficient working environment for staff. This role involves supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining store standards.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns effectively
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and KPIs. Implement sales strategies and promotions to drive revenue
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management. Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock counts, and manage product displays. Coordinate with suppliers and manage stock replenishment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations and loss prevention strategies.
- Prepare and analyze sales reports, staff performance metrics, and inventory data. Report findings to the Store Manager and suggest improvements.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably as an Assistant Manager or Supervisor.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Customer-focused with a strong commitment to service excellence.
- Proficient in MS Office and retail management software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
